Why is powering our damaged FR5 the seller's first suggestion?

Our FR5 pendant enclosure has a visible split beside a shifted crate support. I photographed it as received and kept the packaging. The seller wants a startup video. I want a qualified assessment first.

We had a delivery query where the reply assumed a harmless cosmetic mark, although that wasn't what our photos showed. Send the overall shifted support and the close damage view together, and ask for a qualified inspection route before any power-on attempt.

Those views are already in the ticket. Their new reply offers a replacement plastic cover and repeats the startup request.

Has a technical person actually reviewed the damage, or are these still sales replies? A cover offer doesn't establish what happened behind it.

Sales only, as far as I can establish. No technician named. I have asked for one rather than accepting the cover offer.

Our inspection booking stalled on that distinction. Sales said yes; nobody technical had agreed the scope.

Tell whoever schedules installation that the equipment remains awaiting assessment. Otherwise the arriving cover can get mistaken for the whole problem being resolved, and somebody books people around it.

Liam, did you use a local assessor in the end or somebody the seller arranged?

Local assessor, after the scope was agreed. Not simply whoever could come soonest.

Oliver, is the seller willing to arrange that qualified assessment and state who pays? That's the next answer I'd ask for, not another parcel of plastic.

And give the assessor the complete delivery account, including the moved support. Don't reduce the request to inspecting the cover just because that is the replacement sales knows how to quote.

A technical contact has now been assigned and asked for the complete photo set. No visit or inspection scope agreed yet. The setup remains unpowered and the cover offer is still unanswered.

Please post what assessment they propose. A named contact is progress, but I'd like to hear whether they address the shifted support as well as the visible enclosure.
