Why am I translating references between two freight offices?

Our FR10 and gripper mounting kit are supposedly handed over, but the agent's reference still says awaiting receipt; seller keeps sending their own dispatch number back at me. Can they please talk to each other?

Does the seller's document include a crate identifier that the agent can search independently of either booking reference?

There's a crate number in the packing list. I haven't sent that page to the agent yet.

Could you send that page and the seller's dispatch document in one message to both contacts, asking them to identify the receiving record?

Sent. At least they're now in the same email instead of making me relay the conversation.

Was there a crate-label photo too? A typed number can be wrong in both documents if somebody copied it.

Yes. Photo number matches the packing list. Agent says they are checking their intake pictures.

That sounds familiar. Our shipping thread once acquired a whole extra booking just because somebody searched the wrong reference. Keep the crate photo in the conversation; it is harder to argue with than another subject line.

Has the agent matched the crate in their intake pictures yet?

And has anyone given your installer a confirmed arrival estimate, or are they still waiting too?

Anna's question is worth asking internally. I had our calendar quietly turn a hoped-for delivery into a booked afternoon. The calendar was very confident; the freight office was not.

Sam, no match yet. Anna, installer knows the location isn't confirmed and nothing is booked. Seller has now supplied a transfer note naming a consolidation warehouse.

Does the agent recognise that warehouse as one they use? A new address alone doesn't locate your crate.

They do use it. They've asked that warehouse to search by the crate number, not just the booking.

Much less circular, at least. I'd still wait for the warehouse's own answer before telling anyone it is definitely sitting there.

Did the order list put the mounting kit inside the robot crate or in another package?

Maya Allen, does the transfer note list the same package count as your packing list?

Anna, kit is listed inside the robot crate. Sam, both documents say one package. Warehouse has found a matching crate-label photo, but hasn't confirmed what onward booking it's under.

Ask for the current location and onward status together now. You've nearly got a useful answer; don't settle for another booking number with no explanation.

Warehouse confirms it's there, awaiting allocation to onward freight. Seller and agent are sorting the booking mismatch. No departure confirmed, but I can finally tell planning where the thing is.

Will the agent send the matched booking and departure confirmation to you directly once those are available?
