Cannot choose the FR5 base while its loaded fingers are missing

I checked our polymer-blank exchange drawing against the mill doorway. The wrist reaches the fixture, but the tool is absent. I cannot choose a base position from that; which dimensions should I collect first?

Measure the opening with the door at its actual stop, including projections such as its handle; then request the complete loaded-tool outline from the tooling supplier.

The handle projects into the proposed approach. I have measured it with the door fully against its stop, not held farther open for the photograph.

Thank you for specifying the door position; is the blank orientation in the approach the same as in the fixture?

No. The proposal turns the blank inside the doorway. The outline supplied so far shows only the straight position after that turn.

Ask for the space occupied throughout that turn, with the fingers and fittings included; two clear end positions do not establish clearance between them.

And find out where the hoses are meant to go. We reviewed a neat gripper block once, then the elbow fitting arrived on the one face with no room beside it. The supplier hadn't done anything mysterious; we'd never asked for that part of the assembly.

The tooling supplier confirms the hose exit is still provisional. I have asked them to include it before we compare base positions.

Can a full-size outline rule out that turn cheaply?

It ruled out the proposed straight-through turn in our measured doorway. The supplier is checking another approach in the full model. No base position selected yet.

Keep the doorway measurements with the next model request, Owen. Otherwise another drawing can quietly recover the extra space you've just proved isn't there.
