Our FR10 handover slip names a collection the warehouse cannot find

Seller says our FR10 and mounting kit left together. Freight agent says no warehouse receipt under the reference supplied. I have a collection slip with an unfamiliar crate mark and two people telling me to ask the other one. Where do I start matching this properly?

Ask the seller to connect that crate mark to your order and the collector's actual receipt. The agent then needs the same physical mark for its warehouse search.

Also ask whether the mounting kit was inside that crate or in another package. I wouldn't let together turn into a package count, especially while neither side can point to the thing.

Kit is listed inside the arm crate, Kai. Seller has sent a packing photograph with our order mark, but the collector's slip uses another mark. Asked where the change happened.

Could the collector explain whether it added its own label? I mean a documented link between the two marks, not just somebody recognising a crate in a photograph.

That link should come from the collector's intake or relabelling record. Send both marks with the order reference so its answer can identify the actual package.

Collector confirms it added a consolidation label and supplied the record linking both marks. Agent has that now. We still don't have a warehouse confirmation for the relabelled crate.

At least the search now has the right label. I'd ask the agent which warehouse is doing it and who will answer, because forwarding the corrected number isn't the same as finding the crate.

Warehouse found it under the consolidation label. Photos match both marks and intake record. Agent is arranging the onward booking; I've told our planner it's located, not yet moving onward.

Useful distinction for the planner. Has the package count on that proposed booking stayed at the single crate the seller photographed, with the mounting kit listed inside?

And has the onward carrier actually collected it since that confirmation, Sofia?
