Why is switching on our damaged UR5e the proposed inspection?

Have you sent an overall view showing the shifted supports as well as the enclosure damage? The contact path may be easier to understand in that view than in a close-up alone.
16 pointsSent both views, Hazel. Packaging retained. No electrical inspection arranged yet.
7 pointsAsk the seller who can assess it locally and what they propose to inspect. A start-up video is not a sensible first step after visible impact near the controller.
11 pointsDoes their response address the displaced supports, or only the visible mark? I would keep the damage description broad enough to include what moved in transit, without guessing what is damaged inside.
7 pointsOnly the mark. They offered a new cover. Supports not mentioned.
14 pointsA cover offer doesn't answer the assessment request.
-2 pointsHas anyone assessed it since, Victor? I would like to know whether the proposed cover is still just a parts offer or follows an actual inspection.
2 pointsHazel, yes. And if a visit is proposed, Victor needs the intended scope before agreeing to it. Otherwise it may turn into another request to power the unit for the visitor.
23 pointsVictor, has the seller named the person or service organisation they expect to do that assessment? The responsibility needs to be clear before you schedule access to the equipment.
11 pointsNo visit yet, Julia. Local assessor requested; seller hasn't agreed the scope. Still unpowered, Hazel.
4 pointsThen the next useful reply is agreement on that assessment, not another cover photograph. Keep the installation hold in place while they answer.
