Who should assess this crushed UR5e delivery before power-up?

We opened the UR5e crate for our inspection-tray setup and found a crushed corner, a displaced support and a bent-looking cover near the tool interface. We stopped unpacking far enough to leave the support arrangement visible in photos. The seller wants us to switch it on and report any faults. I'm not comfortable doing that from a chat message. What should I ask them to arrange so a qualified person can assess the damage and decide the next steps? We still have all the packing material.

Keep it unpowered and ask for an assessment by someone qualified to inspect this equipment. Send overall and close-up photographs with the equipment identity, including how the supports moved, so they can plan the inspection before anyone tests it.

Sent the photos and labels. Seller says the cover is cosmetic, but hasn't said who judged that. The impact seems to line up with the shifted support, which worries me more than the cover itself.

Ask who made that judgement and what they inspected. I would want the damaged area and the equipment behind it assessed rather than rely on a cover photograph to decide the unit is ready for power.

They've offered to send a replacement cover. I've asked for an inspection plan first. Our local integrator can attend, but wants the manufacturer or supplier's technical contact involved.

Ask the technical contact what the inspection will cover and who decides whether testing can begin afterwards. A replacement cover might be needed, but putting a straight lid on it won't answer what took the impact underneath.

Have you kept the displaced support labelled with where it was found? Your original photographs matter most, but the pieces may help the inspector understand the load path through the crate.

Can your integrator give a provisional visit date once the inspection scope is agreed, so the people planning the tray job know what milestone they are waiting for?

Support pieces are retained with the arrival photos, Rosa. Integrator can book after the technical scope is agreed, Ravi. We don't have that agreement yet, so I haven't promised a restart date.

Keep the replacement-cover offer in the same case as the damage report. Otherwise receiving a new cover can later look like the entire problem was settled, while your actual inspection request is still sitting in another email.
