Ask their service contact for an inspection scope covering that impact area before power-up. Send the arrival views, not only the close-up of the cover.
Our FR10 arrived with packing pressed into the tool interface cover

Sent both. The seller offered a replacement cover but has not addressed anything beneath it. I have asked service whether the proposed inspection covers the interface assembly too.
12 pointsWas the timber still touching the cover in your arrival photograph, or are you reconstructing where it hit?
14 pointsA new cover alone would make me uneasy here. It could tidy up the one visible clue while leaving you with the same unanswered impact question. Have they named the person doing the assessment?
19 pointsBruno Barnes, still touching in the photograph. Omar, no assessor named yet. The replacement offer came from sales rather than service.
19 pointsWho is dealing with installation planning while that answer is missing? I'd avoid giving the workshop a date based on the cover arriving.
25 pointsKeep the existing cover with the assessment. I wouldn't let a cosmetic replacement become the whole job description.
-2 pointsI own the installation plan, Bruno Allen. It stays unscheduled. Service has now proposed a local inspection of the cover, its mounting and the adjacent interface assembly.
10 pointsWill the assessor see the original packing photographs as well?
21 pointsAnd has somebody agreed the visit cost? Worth having that conversation before the assessor turns up and everyone discovers they expected someone else to pay.
25 pointsYes, Bruno Barnes, the photographs are attached to the service case. Omar, seller confirmed it will cover the agreed inspection visit. Local technician has accepted the job.
16 pointsThat sounds like a real step forward.
3 pointsHave them state any limits to what the local inspection can establish. Some findings may still call for workshop assessment.
20 pointsHarish, has the visit happened now?
6 pointsI'm interested too. The indentation looked like a simple cover issue in your description until the timber contact became clear.
8 pointsInspection happened. Cover mounting is deformed, and the technician wants the interface assembly assessed at service facilities. No powered check was performed. Seller is arranging collection rather than sending only a cover.
11 pointsHave they supplied packing instructions that account for the damaged internal support?
16 pointsUse their reviewed packing arrangement for the return. Reusing the displaced timber in its original role would need an answer, not optimism.
24 pointsService supplied a revised packing plan and replacement supports. Collection is booked, not completed. Thank you, Jonas, for keeping the inspection about the impact rather than the appearance of the cover.
