Why rank the FR10 when the demos unload into different trays?

Our tray goes to assembly. Their demonstration tray would need unloading into ours first.

Price the transfer between trays as a distinct option. It may still be workable, but the person doing it and the space for both trays belong in that price.

Callum, our-tray demo showed release. Two sleeves needed the demonstrator to straighten them afterwards.

Then ask what the ordinary loader would do with those two. I'd want the supplier to explain the placement problem before a tutor quietly inherits a manual finishing step.

Leah, manual finishing might be an honest option if it is acceptable and costed. The trouble is presenting it as an autonomous transfer and then telling the loader it is only an occasional touch.

Two out of how many? Occasional needs a denominator.

Were those two pockets damaged, or were they ordinary examples of the tray you intend to use? I would not ask a new tool to accommodate scrap without first knowing the distinction.

Anil's option deserves a price, not a euphemism. Include the loader examining the tray, identifying a poor placement, and putting it right through an agreed method. Counting only the seconds spent straightening two sleeves will flatter it.

Does assembly accept a different tray at all? Could remove the second transfer, if they do.

Worth asking, Val, but also who returns the empty trays. We once priced new trays and forgot the collection job entirely.

Assembly will consider another tray, provided its fixture interface stays unchanged. Supplier is pricing a compatible receiving tray.

That changes the choice usefully. Anil, I accept your point about a costed manual option; I'd keep it beside this new tray proposal until the actual placement and handover are demonstrated.

Has the proposed receiving tray been assessed at assembly yet, including the fixture interface and empty return? I would hold the shortlist until that answer joins the handling cost.
