Our FR5 for lightweight-fixture loading arrived with a crushed crate corner, displaced supports and visible damage near the controller enclosure; I have kept it unpowered, photographed the delivery and retained the packing, but the seller in China has answered only that I should switch it on.

Do not power visibly damaged equipment to provide their requested proof; ask for a qualified inspection arrangement and written handling instructions tied to the serial and damage photographs, while keeping the delivery evidence intact.

Their service contact has now arranged an inspection at our bench and acknowledged the enclosure damage in writing; the appointment is arranged, not completed, and the FR5 remains unpowered.

Ask the inspector to distinguish visible transport damage, any further findings and the work needed before energisation, rather than give purchasing a single inspected tick that everyone reads differently.
